1. Who we are
HostFortress is a brand of God's Citizens Fortress, LLC ("we", "us", "HostFortress"). "You" means the account holder.
2. The service
We provide web hosting, virtual private servers, and (when relaunched) game-server hosting on shared infrastructure operated by HostFortress.
3. Acceptable use
You agree NOT to use the service for, or to host:
- Spam, unsolicited bulk email, or any traffic that gets our egress IPs blacklisted.
- Malware, phishing kits, command-and-control infrastructure, or stalkerware.
- Content that is illegal under US law where we operate.
- Attacks against any third party — DDoS, brute-force, port scanning, vulnerability scanning without permission.
- Cryptocurrency mining as a primary workload (light use OK; if you're maxing CPU 24/7 for mining, get the right tier or a different host).
- Tor exit nodes (Tor relays are acceptable).
Violations may result in immediate suspension without refund.
4. Billing
Service is billed monthly in advance via Stripe. Cancel anytime — your service remains active through the end of the paid period. Prorated refunds aren't standard, but we'll do the right thing in good-faith cases.
5. Money-back guarantee
14 days from initial signup, no questions asked. Email us within that window and you get a full refund.
6. Uptime
We target 99.9% uptime. We do not currently issue automatic SLA credits — if you experience extended downtime and want a credit, email us and we'll handle it case-by-case.
7. Backups
We take daily backups and retain them on a rolling basis. We strongly recommend you keep your own off-host copies of anything critical. We are not liable for data loss; defense in depth applies to you, not just us.
8. Suspension
We may suspend or terminate service for acceptable-use violations, non-payment, or chargebacks. We will email you first when possible; if your account is actively attacking someone, we'll suspend first and explain after.
9. Limitation of liability
Our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. The service is provided "as is".
10. Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be emailed to active accounts at least 14 days before they take effect.
